CDMA in Belize - Internet and wireless service
Wireless CDMA service is working in most areas of Belize since October 2010. The CDMA wireless service offers shared Internet bandwidth at 2MB (speeds change during the day and depends on users activity).
CDMA voice telephone are used in areas without land lines.
CDMA is not as fast as ADSL, but can be used to access the internet.
VOIP is blocked in Belize. The government controlls Public Utilities Commission and they think that it would reduce profits for the telephone companies.
